The Diocese of Cleveland offers many different opportunities to connect contemporary media and faith.
Heralds of the Gospel must enter the world of the mass media, learn as much as possible about that culture, evangelize that culture, and determine the how best to employ the media to serve the Christian message (NDC, pg.66).
Parish, schools or diocesan organizations can request a Knights of Columbus Catechetical Media Grant for media resources and equipment to help serve their communities.
Faith-Based Media Presentations offer any audience (children through adults) the ability to examine their media habits in light of the our faith. A vareity of topics are availble. The most common are Internet Safety, Social Networking, Messages in Music and general Media Literacy Information. Please contact Jeff as soon as possible to set up a date for a presentation (they go fast).

KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS CATECHETICAL MEDIA GRANTS FOR CATECHESIS The Knights of Columbus graciously provide funding for this grant as part of their Matching Funds Campaign. Each council in the diocese has the opportunity to donate funds to the campaign. Each dollar donated, up to $25,000 is matched by the State Council and presented to each diocese in January at the State Meeting in Columbus. The Office of Catechetical Services uses those funds for 2 grants with the diocese to implement its vision of catechetical media. The Catechetical Media Grants is available for catechetical resources and equipment and the VLCFF Course Grant is available for parishioners to take courses through the University of Dayton's Virtual Learning Community for Faith Formation
