Welcome to Our New Education and Formation Site

Welcome to the new Office of Catechetical Services web site devoted to faith formation and education. This web site contains information and resources to help parishes, schools and organizations with a variety of topics and methodologies for teaching, sharing and supporting faith formation and education.

The Office of Catechetical Services, sometimes referred to as the religious education office, is an entity within the Secretariat for Education and Catechesis in the Catholic Diocese of Cleveland. Take an Online Course with the VLCFF

The Catholic Diocese of Cleveland is a partner diocese with the University of Dayton's Virtual Learning Community for Faith Formation (VLCFF). What does that mean for you? It means that you have access to over 50 online courses and seminars on a varity of faith-based topics. From Jesus, scripture and Church history to social justice teaching and media literacy and education, the VLCFF has a course that you will enjoy. The partnership with Dayton also allows parishioners within the Diocese of Cleveland to take courses at a reduced rate of $40 (regular cost is $90).

The Diocese of Cleveland continues to earn acolades from the VLCFF year-after-year. This past year (2009) Cleveland had the most completed courses by any other diocese in the world! In addition, Cleveland was also the first diocese to reach 1,000 courses taken in the 10 year history of the program.
